The record of Sophia Hopkey indicates that she is the niece of Martha Causton. From this we can surmize that Martha's maiden name was Hopkey.

The record for Tho. Marcer indicates he is the son of Martha Causton, thus we know Martha was married to Mr. Marcer before marrying Tho. Causton.

Arrived 23 Sept. 1733; lot 161 in Savannah. This lot was granted to him 1736. He lives at Oxstead with his father late 1st Bailif. Dead 1 Oct. 1740.

Listed 2nd as Tho. Marcer: Son of Martha Causton; embarked 25 May 1733; arrived in the Georgia Colony 23 Sept. 1733.
