After husband John Dearn died, she re-married to John Clarke who lives with her on her lot.

Arrived in the Georgia Colony 20 May 1735 and married John Dearn the same day.

Embarked: 6 Nov. 1732; Arrived in the Georgia Colony: 1 Feb. 1732-3. On the 1st ship load of Georgia colonists, The Charity.

Widow of Joseph Cooper.

Lot 20 in Savannah. Upon her husband's death, she let her lot for 10.7.0 p. ann. and went to England where she had leave to stay.

Absent 24 Feb. 1736-7.


Thomas Cross

Soldier in the Independent Company at St. Simons Fort.

Lot 22 in Savannah.

Married the widow Judith Clark 29 June 1734.

Run away Dec. 1738 but returned and was in the Colony the end of the year 1746.


Judith Sykes

On the 1st ship load of Georgia colonists, The Charity.

Age 29; Re-marry'd to Tho. Cross 29 June 1734 and quitted the Colony with him. Quitted Dec. 1738

(The record for Fra. Sykes indicates she is the mother of Judith. I have made the assumption that Judith's maiden name is then Sykes though it is possible that it is not.)

The record for Thomas Cross indicates he married the widow Judith Clark. This Judith is the only choice for him to have married.


Elenor Cross

A child. Daughter I suppose to Thomas & Judith Cross.

Inmate at Savannah on lot 22.


John Cuthbert

Age 31, of Draikes, gentleman.

Embarked 20 Oct. 1735; arrived in the Georgia Colony 10 Jan. 1735-6.

Grant of 500 acres made him 3 Sept. 1735 which he took up at Josephs town, but afterwards abandoned and settled at Darien or New Inverness. In 1736, Mr. Oglethorpe made him Commander of Fort Andrews.

Dead 16 Nov. 1739.

Arrived Feb. 1735-6. Dead the day of arrival.

Lot 3N. in Frederica.

Re-married John Dalton and settled with him at Frederica on lot 3. After his death 1738/9 she returned to England with her children.

Upon her 2nd husband's death she came by leave to England with John & Mary her children & tis supposed will not return.
