John (61) and Elizabeth (58) are living with children William (21), and Providence (14). John is a carpenter.
Elizabeth Shuman
Elizabeth is listed as born in Effingham Co, GA but this may be incorrect. The Shumans often went to the Ebenezer Church in Effingham Co, GA and had some of their children baptized there but owned land in the Black Swamp area of South Carolina, just across the Savannah River. So she may well have been born there.
John and family are on this census: 2 males under 10 years,
one male 26-45 (this would be John), one female under 10, and onefemale 26-45 (this would be Elizabeth). They also own 14 slaves.
John(61) and Elizabeth(58) are living with children William (21), and Providence (14). John is a carpenter.
