Looking to find past history on Benjamin Franklin Barbee, born approx. 1844, place unknown, parents unknown. Came walking into Emanuel County, Ga. in middle 1800's with his brother John. Married Viannah Martin, daughter of Reubin and Prissilla Martin of Emanuel County. Had 6 children: Lula Cindie Barbee, Susan Ethel Barbee Sherrod, John Ashton Barbee, Benjamin Franklin Barbee, Jr., William Otis Barbee and Charles Allen Barbee. Lived and died in and around Emanuel County, Ga. Buried at Deep Creek Baptist Church, Jenkins County, Ga. Brother John went down to Oak Park, Ga. area or maybe further down in Ga.
