Moved to Newbern, Dyer Co, Tennessee from North Alabama, possibly to be with his uncle in Tennessee, Irvin Sherrod. By the turn of the century he had only one living son.

I think your Iciebinder Leanna Rhodes could be a sister to my William Alpheus Rhodes. I was looking for his mother, Amelia Wooley, on ancestry.com and found her listed as having a daughter named Iciebinder. It didn't have any other children listed or even her husband's name, but it could be the right Amelia Wooley.
William Alpheus Rhodes was born July 10, 1829 in Athens, Alabama. His mother, Amelia Wooley was born 1806 in Georgia and died in 1880. His father was Joel Rhodes born 1800 in SC and he and Amelia were married in 1825 in Athens, Alabama. His father was possibly Columbus Rhodes. Amelia's mother was Claudia Franklin.

I am looking for information on the wife of James Monroe Sherrod. Her name was Iciebinder Leanna Rhodes. Her first name has been spelled in various ways, Isabinder, Iciebiender etc. However, according to family she went by Leanna. She was b. Nov. 6, 1825 in Lauderdale Co. Alabama near the town of Florence. She m. James Monroe Sherrod on Feb. 3, 1846 in Lauderdale Co. AL. She d. Jan. 13, 1884 in Dyer Co. Tennessee.
James M. Sherrod was b. March 4, 1820 in Lauderdale Co. AL. He d. Aug. 9, in the 1880's in Dyer Co. TN
James was a descendant of Robert Sherrod & Elizabeth Lassiter of Northampton Co., NC
