John Alexander Caldwell

Worked as a Coal Miner and grocery business in Arkansas. Worked for the Great Northern Railroad as a Hosler Helped during World War II. Was a farmer in the Klamath Falls, OR. area for most of the time, raising some grains, potatoes and vegetables.


John William Caldwell

John William Caldwell served from October 19, 1944 until August 15, 1946 with the US Army during World War II. He served in the 24th Infantry and the 11th Airborne Divisions, after taking his basic training at Camp Hood(now known as Fort Hood), Mineral Well, TX and was assigned to a Heavy Weapons Company(81mm Mortars) with the 24th Division and sent overseas. John was with the 24th Division during the battle of Okinawa. After the battle of Okinawa, he was assigned to the 11th Airborne Div. in preparation for the invasion of Japan. Upon the Japanese surrender, his unit of the 11th Airborne was the first troops to land in Japan and then served with the Occupation Forces. He worked for the Great Northern Railroad, later became the Burlington Northern Railroad, as a locomotive engineer, until his retirement.


Myrtle Eureka Hall

Myrtle was a Registered Public Health Nurse and served with Klamath County Health Department, Klamath Falls, OR. many years.
