Leona (Onnie) Sherrod
1900 Emanuel Co, GA Federal Census:
She is a farmer's wife and they own the land and housefree and clear. It is #46 on the 'farm schedule'. With her are husband, J.P.(47) and children; Frank (18), Grady? (10), Jahud? (8-f),Mosell (7-f), Joseph A.(6), John H.(4), Liala?(3-f), and William(1). Onia has had 8 children and all are alive and living with them at this time.
She and Jacob Futch separated before the birth of their son, Benjamin Franklin Futch. She returned to her parents' home and resumed her maiden name.

There is a Frank on the 1910 census of Emanuel Cty., butbecause the age is exactly correct, I chose it to be William FrankSherrod, IRN 804.
Maude A. Sherrod
Maude and husband, Haley McLendon adopted a baby named James. A women came into the settlement where they lived with a baby and gave the baby to Aunt Maude. Months later, the baby's father came and took the baby away from Aunt Maude.

Henry & Ruth had 12 children.

Ruth and Henry had 12 children.
Aunt Ruth went to Savannah to visit her mother with two of her children, ages 2 and 4 years old. While visiting, the two children got sick and died. They are buried in Johnson Cemetery, Emanuel Co., Ga.

Accordint to Patty, his name is Dewey Admiral Sherrod. However, the 1910 Census lists him as George D. Sherrod.
Lawrence "Lonzie" D. Sherrod
Died of stomach cancer.
Obituary from the Savannah Morning News:
Lawrence D. Sherrod, 54, of Rt. 1, Bloomingdale, died yesterday at his home after a long illness.
He was a member of the South Newington Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War II. He was a truck driver for Tamiami Trailways. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Woods Sherrod of Bloomingdale; four sons, Jerry D. Sherrod of Port Wentworth, Donald Lee Sherrod and Michael J. Sherrod of Bloomingdale, and Lonnie P. Owens of Rincon; two daughters, Mrs. R. H. Jones and Miss Linda Gayle Sherrod, both of Bloomingdale; three brothers, A. D. Sherrod and J. H. Sherrod, both of Savannah, and Ben F. Sherrod of Ellabell; two sisters, Mrs. J. O. Harper of Savannah and Mrs. S. K. Purvis of Bloomingdale; six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
