I am researching the CASNER surname. My William S. Casner married Elizabeth Sherrod (bd 4-26-1819 TN) and they had eight children (Ann, Martha, George, Sarah, Jarrett, John, Clinton, and Hamilton). William S. Casner died 11-1860 in Washington Co., AR. Elizabeth then married Jacob Z. Watts on 6-7-1866 in Greenwood County, KS. I am in contact with a person in KS who is locating additional information on Elizabeth. I was wondering if you have information on what became of the children of Elizabeth and William S. Casner. I know that Sarah married and had children, but I have been unsuccessful in locating additional information on the children.

When my cousin was in Arkansas last summer she looked in a genealogy book in one of the libraries (the Arkansas Family Historian 1962-1992) and found the following information:
CHARLOTTE SHERROD was married to Moses Williams, who was the brother of Philimon Williams. CHARLOTTE SHERROD was also a sister of EMILY SHERROD. (The Williams brothers married the Sharrod sisters.) The name of the person who submitted the data was Mrs. C.D. Parman. These sisters are some of my cousin's mother's ancestors. My cousin would like information on these sisters, or where she might be able to locate the following person who submitted the name of Charlotte Sherrod. Mrs. C.D. Parman 107 W. Mimosa San Marcos, TX 78666 The data was submitted in 1981, and it appears that Mrs. Parman no longer lives in San Marcos, TX. Thanks!

Mary was the daughter of James and Patsy Rice Sanders Phillips. Their children were Allen James Sherrod, John W. Sherrod, W. Lafayette Sherrod and Samuel C. Sherrod. William V. died between 1858 - 1860 and Mary then remarried to William Culwell. That's all I have at this time on this family.
