Jacob S. Crappse

I came upon your website and my great greatgrandparents were JJB Shuman and Susanna Phillips from South Carolina. Their daughter Mary Adeline Shuman born in South Carolina in 1866 was my greatgrandmother she married Jacob S. Crappse in 1886 in South Carolina and when Jacob was shot and killed by his cousin Jesse Crapse in 1904 she moved her 8 children to Newark, New Jersey where her son Lawrence Whitman Crappse later married and had 9 children of whom I am the daughter of his son William. My maiden name was Crappse.
Interesting to see others from this line.
