Zara is an unusual name and even more so because in the1880 census, Zara's father Bradford is living next to Zara Harvey. Heapparently named his son in honor of his very good friend.

My grandfather was Sidney Paul Sherrod, born more than likely in Emanuel County in 1897, though lived most of his life in neighboring Burke County. I believe his father's name was Bill, though I am not sure, as we have never actually been sure that there was a marriage between my great grandparents. Her name was Janie, but not sure of her last name. She later married a Brinson in Emanuel County and had 5 or 6 children, most of whom still live(d) in the area, I believe.

Sidney Sherrod
I have asigned Sidna to be William's child because his last name is Sherrod according to the census, thus, his father must be a Sherrod and William is the only son of John W. other than Joe who is only 15 and single at the time of the census.

James Sherrod
I chose this James Sherrod, son of William G. instead of the James Sherrod (son of John P. Sherrod & dicy) because of his having a son named Noah which is the same names as his brother Noah (son of William G. Sherrod). This could be incorrect though and the James who married Alice could be James Sherrod IRN 2267 instead of the current one.

Description: where she is living with husband James(28) and children; Ella(8), Lizan?(Liza Ann?)(7), William F.(4), and Noah(3 mo). Alice is listed as 25
On the 1820 Census of Bulloch Cty., GA is RichardKirkland.
