Elizabeth(38) is living with her father having beenwidowed without children.
In the 1910 Census of Emanuel Cty., GA we have ElizabethDavis living with Lemueil Sherrod listed as her brother. From this wecan deduce that Elizabeth married a fellow named Davis. Furthermore,she says she was married for twenty two years and is now a widow. Thiscan not be accurate as in 1880 she was still living with her parentsand was single. In 1900 she listed herself as a widow and states thatshe had no children. This probably means that she married just afterthe 1880 census and her husband died just before the 1900 one.

Description: Spence, Owen - 1st. Corporal September 10, 1861. On detached service at Fort Sumter, S. C. December 31, 1863. Pension records show he surrendered at Greensboro, N. C. April 26, 1865.
Owen(31) is with wife Elinner(29)(could this be Eleanor?),son James(2) and daughter Mary E.(5 mo). They live next to brotherGreen B. Spence.

Nettie(17) is staying with her parents and sister,Elizabeth, and brother, Joe. This is the first mention of Nettie. Ageseventeen means she would have been on the 1900 census but there isnot a "Nettie" there. The last female child there is S----tho(Jul.1890, p yrs.). It would appear that this is the child called Nettie onthe 1910 census.
Nettie(23) is living with husband, John D. Shaw(38), now.They have a child, Minnie, nine months old. Living with them also isJohn's mother Eliza, Nettie's cousin Eliza Sherrod(43, IRN 2271),Nettie's uncle James Sherrod(48, IRN 2302) and nephew RayfordRoberts(18) who must be the child of Nettie's mother's brother.
