They have been married 6 years and have had three children all ofwhom are with them now. They live between Forest's parents and theSmith family whose daughter Mattie married Willie Sherrod.

he was wounded near Richmond, Virginia October 1864, and was
furloughed from Camp Winder Hospital at Richmond, Virginia
for 60 days February 1865. No later record. (Born in Georgia
in 1847.)

Elizabeth Sherrod Beckton(34) and her three children,Callie(14), Lila(12), and Bessie(8) are staying with Elizabeth'sparents, William(70) and Eda(65). Elizabeth's husband apparently diedbetween 1892 and 1900. 1893 or 1894 would be most likely.

Elizabeth was a resident of Macon County, GA at the timeof her wedding.
Saunders Sherrod (Sherrard)
On Nov. 8th, 1825, in Twiggs Cty., GA, Wright Sherrard (Sherrod) and Jesse Waters , administrators of the estate of Saunders Sherrard, late of said county, advertised for sale "a part of the deceased at his late residence, five cows and the household goods, &c. The advertisment was placed in the paper on Sept. 6th, 1825.
This would likely have been either the father or brother or perhaps uncle of Wright who I sure is also related to Joel and Benjamin.
