Ezekial Parrish continued to live in Bullock County until about 1880 when he moved to Berrien Co and bought a farm and settled in the portion now in Cook Co. About ten years later he sold out and moved to Thomas Co where he lived until his death, April 16, 1900.

1860 Census of Thomas Co, GA:
John(21) and Martha (14) have a small farm and no children.They have probably just gotten married. I placed John as the child of William because William was in this county on the 1840 census and had 2 sons under 5 at that time. On the left side of the census are visitation numbers. Also, for each visitation, the people there are individually numbered. John and Martha are included in the numbering of the family just before them, J.H. and Mary Murphy. This would imply that Martha's maiden name is Murphy and they are on the same farm with her parents. I am going to assume this to be so for the time being.
