Joe H.(51) and Lena(36) have apparently been married forabout seven years and have had three children: Jeuell(6), Adeline(4),and Eloise(1 & 2/12). also living with them are Rif Watkins(15) andBirdie Watkins(16) who are listed as son and daughter also. This wouldimply that Lena was previously married to a gentleman named Watkins.From her age, it is unlikely that she had a child older than Birdie,so she probably married Mr. Watkins about 1903 and from Rif's age wecan conclude that Mr. Watlins (most likely) died around 1905 to 1907.Jeuell's age tells us that Lena probably married Joe about 1913.

In the household are a sister-in-law Addie(29), sisterElizabeth(38) and widowed without children, and a grandson of hisfather's though I can't tell if this is his son. This data indicatesthat Lemuiel married after 1880 and his wife died before 1900. Addieis the wife of one of his brothers. The grandson is most likelyLemuel's son as Addie (the daughter in law), is only 29 and Ellis is17. She would have to have had him when she was only twelve whichseems unlikely.

She states that she has had six children.From this we can deduce that Louvenia married James in 1893. Mattie M.was born in Feb. 1894, thus all the children except BenLee? are theissue of James and Louvenia. BenLee? must be the child of a Sherrod towhom Louvenia was previously married and who died. From BenLee's agewe can deduce that Louvenia married this fellow about early 1887.Since she has no other children by him, he must have died sometimebetween late 1887 and late 1888.
