ODESSA - Ester Rebbeca "Becky" Weigel, 52 years, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Mrs. Weigel was born in Hobbs, N.M., to George Sherrod and Mrs. Ellen Bankston.
Graveside services will be Monday, Aug. 19, 2002, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Odessa.
Survivors are her fiancé, Richard Kawalec of Odessa; son, Eric Crispin of Odessa; daughters, Heather Spadoni and Audra Crispin, both of Odessa; sister, Carol Brock of Carlsbad, N.M.; brothers, Vernon Overcash of Roanoke, Va., and Lewis Overcash of Rocky Mount, Va.; stepbrother, Craig Crispin of Odessa; uncle, Oliver Bankston of Smithville; grandchildren, Katelyn Mathis, Madison Spadoni, Trenity Spadoni, Mason Crispin and Christina Yaney, all of Odessa; two nephews of Odessa, three nieces of Odessa and two great-neices of Odessa.
Services under the direction of Martinez Funeral Home.

Frances Florene Bussard Sherrod
Frances Florene Bussard Sherrod of Amarillo died Saturday, Nov. 7,
1998.
Services are tentatively scheduled for Monday morning with burial
Monday afternoon in Higgins. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon
Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St.
Mrs. Sherrod was born and raised in Lipscomb County. She attended
elementary school in Shattuck, Okla., and Cotton and graduated from
Higgins High School. She received bachelor and masters of science
degrees from West Texas A&M University and also received her special
education certificate.
Mrs. Sherrod taught school for 34 years starting at Glazier during
World War II, then at Follett, Dumas and Channing where she and her
husband lived for 40 years. She also had her real estate sales and
brokers license.
Mrs. Sherrod was listed in the World Who's Who of Women. She was a
life member of the Texas State Teachers Association and was a member
of the National Education Association, Delta Kappa Gamma and Gamma Xi
Chapter of Dumas. She was a member of the Audubon Society, the
National Wildlife Association and the International Wildlife
Association.
Mrs. Sherrod was a member of Holiday Ramblers Club, Senior Citizens,
Amarillo Retired Teachers Association and AARP. She was a member of
the First Baptist Church of Channing where she taught Sunday school.
They had lived in Amarillo since their retirement.
She married Ky Sherrod in Raton, N.M.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Randall Sherrod of Canyon
and Brent Sherrod and Mark Sherrod, both of Amarillo; a brother, B.F.
Bussard of Amarillo; a sister, Mildred Mabry of Pampa; and seven
grandchildren.
