Robert L. Sherrod
Robert L. "Bob" Sherrod, 89, of Amarillo, died Sunday, March 29, 1998.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral
Directors, Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with the
Rev. Raymond Bowlin of Bushland Baptist Church officiating. Graveside
services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Dunn Cemetery at Dunn.

Mr. Sherrod was born in Center. He attended Dunn High School at Dunn
and graduated from Amarillo Barber College. In 1929, he assisted with
writing the Texas Barber By-Laws. He was Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Sherrod, in 1982.

Survivors include three sons, Monte Sherrod of Abilene, Robert Sherrod
of Dallas and Richard Sherrod of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.
