They contain images of the original pages of the federal census documents scanned from the government's microfilm records. The images can be viewed on any computer. In most cases, nothing need be installed on your computer as Windows based systems already have the proper viewing programs. Mac systems will need to download a viewing program. The images can be enlarged enormously to bring out small details and have been enhanced to make badly deteriorated pages more legible. They can also be printed easily. We feel that these are the best images, overall, available of these records and will make your genealogy search much easier and more rewarding.
